Novel Aroma Oil Packaging Design & Branding Identity for KUMO
坂の上の雲ミュージアム (Saka no Ue no Kumo Museum) is located in Matsuyama, Ehime Prefecture, Japan. The museum is inspired by the novel『坂の上の雲』"Clouds Above the Hill", a famous Japanese historical war novel by Shiba Ryotaro.
The brand concept of KUMO was based around the central theme of the novel itself; freedom, and patriotism. More importantly, to promote the local tourism in Matsuyama, Ehime, it is sold as a souvenir of the museum.
The KUMO Aroma Oil was marketed mainly for male audiences. The packaging design represents the novel and it's key concept.
